Description Not many in this life choose to abandon their worldly possessions to live on a mountain, However, some choose to live this simple life in the hopes of religious salvation. Some would say these monks are insane, trying to live off the land of the high mountains without much space for agriculture. These monks don't exactly have the resources necessary to live without access to trade ships or contact with the political world. However, they have a resource that not many others do: sheep. Monks get to trade the incredibly valuable animals, and their wool for various resources like water, and food when they are running low.
The monks live on this mountain to get away from the complicated and violent political world of The Peaks. They pray to no particular god for peace and calm between these major political parties, as well as for friendly weather and the calming of the sea of dust that makes the ground so uninhabitable.
The monks know that their prayers will probably account for very little in the eyes of the major governments, but they also know that they barely register on the radar of these large governments. Some have made acknowledgments that the monks exist, and have promised them the freedom to continue in their ways. All in all the Monastery of The Peaks is populated by only a handful of monks, and they live a life of simplicity.
